I have extensive training in Restorative Justice Practices,Trauma Informed Pedagogy,
Culturally Responsive and Anti-Racist Pedagogy. My work focuses on Restorative School Leadership and I specialize in training school leaders to build their core competencies in emotional intelligence, communication, and conflict management skills. Without this skill set, leaders will find themselves ill-equipped to successfully tackle initiatives that build strong school cultures and equitable outcomes for students. In a post-pandemic era in our schools, this skill set must take center stage so our leaders can meet she challenges of today and tomorrow.

Shamar Edwards is also the proud parent of two school-aged children and is originally from Los Angeles, though she currently resides in the Bay Area of Northern California. In her free time, you can find her cheering for her hometown Los Angeles Lakers, enjoying music, attending church, and spending time with her family.
