Anthony Ceja, M.S.W.

Anthony Ceja served as a volunteer for 8 years with Mother Teresa of Calcutta’s Missionaries of Charity in the US and El Salvador serving homeless and displaced youth and families. After receiving his master’s degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University in 1994, Anthony has served schools and communities for 25 years in the area of gang and violence prevention and Restorative Justice Practices. He developed and managed the PASS AmeriCorps Program, a school-based mentoring program where 40 full-time AmeriCorps Members serve 1,000 students in 30 schools where they are at-risk for school failure and other negative influences. Anthony is a Senior Manager for the Systems of Support Department of the San Diego County Office of Education where he has worked for the past 25 years. Over the past 10 years Anthony has served as the Lead Trainer and Coach for Restorative Justice Practices for schools in San Diego County and has trained over 11,000 educators. Anthony provides training and support for schools and organizations to develop restorative community building circles, restorative conflict intervention and restorative conferences. Anthony provides extensive coaching for schools in the area of implementing Restorative Justice Practices at school sites and organizations.
