Dr. Lovie earned her doctorate at USC with a research focus on improving organizational outcomes through data driven actions, implementation of effective organizational systems, and equitable practices. Her dissertation was about the barriers of people identifying as women teachers aspiring to principalship. She continues to examine ways to reduce the inequity in hiring across the organization through supporting candidates, systemic changes, and building sponsorship for women.
