Marlys Williamson is the Science Coordinator for the Chula Vista Elementary School District.  Prior to this position, she was a teacher at Wolf Canyon Elementary School with 15 years of teaching experience and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in Science. She is the 2020 awardee for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching (PAEMST) and CVESD's 2020 Teacher of the Year. She is an SDCOE Elementary Science Academy Cohort 1 Teacher.  She has served as an SDSU and National University Master Teacher. Marlys has led professional learning around student inquiry, science talk, NGSS, and science notebooking. She currently hosts a San Diego local phenomena series called Science in Our City.
